Data Source
Buoyk displays public NOAA/NDBC buoy and station observations, and may show public BuoyCAM station images where NDBC makes them available. Data availability and freshness depend on the source services and reporting stations.
Buoyk is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by NOAA, NDBC, NWS, Apple, or the U.S. government.
Safety
Always check official forecasts, warnings, local authorities, proper marine equipment, charts, and real-world conditions before going on or near the water.
Troubleshooting
- If station data looks stale, use the in-app refresh control.
- If a station has no data, the station may not report that measurement.
- If location does not work, check iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.
- If the map loads but observations do not, check network connectivity.
- If cached data is wrong, delete and reinstall the app to clear local app data.
